가랑비 (hou)

: [가랑비] light drizzle. Rains little by little. In Korea, there is a idiom related to its characteristic.

It is "가랑비에 옷 젖는 줄 모른다". In English, it is "One doesn't know his clothes getting wet due to light drizzle", meaning "No matter how small it is, if it repeats itself, it becomes so big that it cannot be ignored."

"When there is sun shower, tiger marries with the fox"

This came from a fairytale.

"Long time ago, there was a fox and a tiger. Fox wanted to get power from where she lives, so she asked the tiger to marry her. Tiger said no at first, but fox said she will show her power. Tiger walked with the fox and saw every animal running away from the fox. Tiger exclaimed at her power and married with the fox.

Meanwhile, there was a cloud that loved this fox. However, cloud was too shy to say to marry with him. So he saw the fox from far away, from the sky. When the cloud knew that the fox is was marrying with the tiger, he cried and went away. This tear is now what we call as 'sun shower'. "

비보라 (bibora)

: [비보라] Rain storm. Really, really heavy rain.
