When you or your family is sick, you need some medicine. However, you might have no time to go there! So I thought introducing about what types of medicine does Korean put in their cupboard usually woul be a great idea! If you see this, I think it can help you out if you are slightly sick.
그래서 한국 사람들이 보통 약장에 어떤 종류의 약을 보관하는지 소개하는 것이 좋을 것 같다고 생각했습니다! 이것을 보시면, 조금 아프실 때 도움이 될 수 있을 거라고 생각합니다.
Let's talk about medicine before I start. In Korea, only safe medicines can be sold in pharmacies. That means these medicine has not show strong effect if you are too sick. So I really recommend you to go to hospital. Only doctors are allowed to prescribe you stronger medicine. If you don't have time, eating some more medicine can be an idea, but that does not mean you can get better 100%.
So let's look through medicines. Koreans usually keep these in their home. Of course, the specific part depends on what each of their family usually get sick of. I will show it as a picture with little explanation.
One thing to say is that I am only showing general ones. I will tell about some specific symptoms and following medicine in the future.

I will introduce 3 types. Famadin is for people who has stomach ache. Galeo is for people who are having hard time digesting. Trimebutine maleate is for general stomachache.
세 가지 유형을 소개하겠습니다. '파마딘'은 속이 쓰린 사람들을 위한 약입니다. '가레오'는 소화가 잘 안 되는 사람들을 위한 약입니다. '트리메부틴 말레이트'는 일반적인 위통을 위한 약입니다.
2. Ointment
I am introducing 2 ointments. These two are the most popular ones.
연고는 두종류를 소개합니다. 둘다 유명한 것들입니다.
3. Plastic Bandage
There are 2 types of plastic bandages. One is dry one, and other is wet one. First on is dry bandage and second one is wet bendage.
밴드는 두종류가 있습니다. 첫번째는 건조 밴드고 두번째는 습윤 밴드입니다.
4. Fever Reducer / painkiller (or Antipyretic analgesic)
This is the most popular one among Koreans. It is a nice painkiller! If you cannot eat Tylenol, try other one instead.

This is common medicine if you get a cold. However, it may be different depending on symptom you have, so try other types if that does not work.
감기에 걸렸을 때 흔히 사용하는 약입니다. 하지만, 증상에 따라 다를 수 있으므로, 효과가 없다면 다른 종류를 시도해 보세요.
6. Pain relief Patch
There are 2 types of patchs. Cold one and hot one. For cold ones, you should use it when your swells and has heat. On the other hand, hot patch is for skins that is hurting you for long time.
파스는 냉찜질용과 온찜질용 두 가지 유형이 있습니다. 냉찜질용은 부위가 붓고 열이 날 때 사용해야 합니다. 반면, 온찜질 패치는 오랫동안 통증을 주는 피부에 사용합니다.

This medicine is used when you need to eliminate inflammation.

For example, I have plastic bandage, antipyretic analgesic, and pain relief patch in my home. For others...I actually have different ones from that because I have Rhinitis and I always need to get ready for that. Other then that.....I have some vitamins. Vitamin C, B and D.
