Korea Returnee Project, full name Project for Strengthening Stage-Wise Support System for the Stable Reintegration of Korea Returnee Migrants in Nepal, which is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and Government of Korea, is funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and implemented by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Korea along with a Project Management Consulting Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security of Nepal, Department of Foreign Employment and Employment Permit System(EPS) Korea Section of Nepal.
Before the program started, Korea Returnee Project hosted the mobile platform application naming contest which provides essential information for Korea Returnees along with stable reintegration and other information. Those Nepali returnee migrant people who returned from Korea under the EPS program and interested in starting the business were qualified for the Advanced Entrepreneurship Bootcamp under the K-HaMi Project's Returnee Innovators for Nepal (RIN) program where participants can learn and grow with this free entrepreneurship bootcamp, mentorship, and support program to start a business in Nepal.

The entrepreneurship training application was open from August 30 to September 7, 2024. The event started through various stages. A lot of people participated in the training and the Advanced Entrepreneurship Training stage of the Returnee Innovators for Nepal (RIN) Residential Advanced Entrepreneurship Course took place from September 23-27, 2024, at the Regenta Place Sabrina Hotel in Kathmandu. The event was designed to provide them with essential skills for developing their business and attracting investors and shared their ideas, opinions. Under the guidance, participants engaged in practical exercises, discussions, and competitions, showcasing creative ideas of their businesses.
On December 5th, 2024, The Bridge International had the privilege of conducting an influencing networking session with Byapar Briddhi Bikalpa, Industrial Enterprise Development Institute of Nepal and Knowledge Growth Sustainability Incorporated of Nepal, that brought together a dynamic group of entrepreneurs, mentors, passionate startup fellows, seasoned investors, industry experts, and governing bodies.
On January 16th, 2025, Incubation and Mentorship was completed successfully with an inspiring networking session and a closing ceremony. Entrepreneurs and Startup Fellows were given certificates, and mentors received tokens of appreciation for their invaluable guidance. It was an insightful session where entrepreneurs shared their journey, highlighting the challenges they have overcome, achievements and how their mentors have helped shape their business ventures.
On Feb.7, Returnee Innovators Showcase– Empowering Returnee Migrant Entrepreneurs in Nepal concluded to drive innovation and sustainable business growth in Nepal. It was a great opportunity for everyone to connect, learn from each other, and continue building a supportive community of innovators. It was truly inspiring to witness such diverse minds coming together with a shared vision of growth, success, and making a lasting impact on the startup ecosystem. This meeting not only allowed them to reflect on their personal growth, ideas, insights but also provided valuable feedback for the next steps in their entrepreneurial journey.
Few winners were awarded to help grow their businesses and contribute to Nepal’s economy. The first place was Mr. Santosh Prasad Dahal– Rasilo Agriculture Nepal Pvt. Ltd. Where he had received NPR 500000.

Likewise, the second place winner was Mr. Dil Bahadur Tamang– Hankook Meat Mart, where he received NPR 300000.
Dil Bahadur Tamang, who gets the second position at the Returnee Innovators Showcase, turns challenges into opportunities by introducing modern technology and bringing a plan to modernize the meat industry.

Third Place was Mr. Rajendra Bashal and received NPR 200000.
This project is the first starting from Nepal among all the Employment Permit System eligible nations. After evaluation or consequences of the project, the project can be extended to other EPS countries as well.
