Today, I want to share a very personal and meaningful journey with someone special โ my Famigo manager, Kesia. But honestly, calling her just a manager doesn't feel right. To me, she became like a big sister here in Korea.
I still remember when I first got connected with Famigo. The boss introduced me to her, and thatโs how our journey started. At first, I thought her responsibility would be only related to my work issues. But with time, I realized she was someone much more than that. She helped me in every corner of my life.
Back in early 2024, when my Korean restaurant boss didnโt pay my salary, I was confused and lost. I shared it with her, and she didnโt just listen โ she guided me step by step and also connected me to the Famigo boss to help me. That was the first time I felt like, โIโm not alone here.โ
Later, as I started writingย content about my real-life experiences, she supported me with genuine feedback. She didnโt just correct my writing; she encouraged me to improve, little by little. Every single piece I wrote โ she read, reviewed, and helped me grow. Iโve become so much better now, and I owe her a lot of credit for that progress.
Before I went to Bangladesh earlier this year, I told her I was looking for an iPhone. In Korea, everyoneโs busy, and time is really important. But she still gave her time to search and suggest the best options for me โ like a real sister.
One of the most difficult moments in my life here was when I almost got trapped in a SIM card scam. It happened last September, and she was the first one to explain everything clearly and show me the proper way to handle it. Then in January 2025, I lost my wallet โ it had my ARC card too. I was mentally broken, and I told her everything. She calmly guided me to report it to the lost and found. Two days later, I got it back. That moment โ Iโll never forget.
Honestly, I canโt even write everything she has done for me in just one story. Even during our one-hour journey together, she always gives me the best advice โ not just about work, but about life.
She is one of the most hardworking people Iโve ever met. I think sheโs handling another project now, and I truly wish her all the best. Even though we haven't met face-to-face in over a year, she always stood by me. Thatโs what makes this bond so special.
Thank you for everything. I hope our journey continues, and I believe youโll keep inspiring others โ just like you did for me.
