Khandjamts is an international student from Mongolia who is very satisfied with Korean education and culture. She is preparing to obtain a residency permit and plans to eventually become a permanent resident in Korea.
She contacted Famigo about her plans, and Famigo explained in detail the conditions and procedures for obtaining a residency permit and permanent residency.
Let's talk about Khandjamts' life in Korea.

Q : Please briefly introduce yourself

Hello, my name is Khandjamts. I graduated master degree in Korea and i am looking for a job here in Korea. I have been in Korea for 3 years now.

Q : How did you come to Korea and how have you been living so far?

While i was working i had chance to participate at workshop in Korea and during the workshop i really enjoyed living in Korea. After that i have searched for universities and thankfully i got scholarship from university which i applied for it.

Q : What are the good and bad things about being in Korea?

Being an international student in Korea can be an enriching experience, but it comes with both advantages and challenges. For advantages,  High-Quality Education and  Cultural Experience. Challenges could be Language barrier. While many universities offer courses in English, daily life outside of the university often requires knowledge of Korean. This can be a significant barrier for those who are not proficient in the language.

Q : How did you find out about Famigo and how did it help you?

I first found out about Famigo through social media, where it was highlighted as a valuable resource for students. Intrigued by its focus on student support, I decided to explore their website, famigo.net, and discovered a wealth of useful information tailored to the needs of students like me.

The platform provided a wide range of resources, including guides, articles, and tools that helped with academic success, time management, and personal development. Through the website’s inquiry section, I was able to ask questions and receive personalized responses, which provided clarity on various issues, from navigating student life to accessing specific resources.

Q : What kind of services would you like Famigo to have?

My suggestions would be Career Support and Networking :

  • Job and Internship Listings : A dedicated section for finding internships, part-time jobs, and entry-level positions, specifically curated for students.
  • Networking Events and Webinars : Virtual events, workshops, and webinars with professionals and alumni, focusing on career development, resume building, and interview tips.

Q : What are your plans for the future

My short term plans are exploring Long-Term Visa Options : Once i secured stable employment, consider transitioning to a more permanent visa (e.g., F-series visas) that offers more flexibility and long-term stay options in Korea. For personal developement, Invest in further education, certifications, or skills training relevant to my field.
For long term plan, Considering Permanent Residency or Citizenship, I will research the requirements for obtaining permanent residency or citizenship and start preparing early.
