South Korea is one of the fastest transforming multicultural societies in the world. As of 2024, there are over 2.5 million foreigners residing in South Korea, and it is expected to surpass 3 million within the next 2-3 years. Foreign residents play a significant role in the South Korean economy, engaging in various sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and food service while dreaming of the 'KOREAN DREAM'.
However, they face discrimination and inconvenience in areas such as language, culture, education, healthcare, employment, housing, law, and administration.
To address these issues, 'Owlers' was launched. Prior to its launch, Owlers met with various foreign residents and related companies to listen to their lives and concerns, contemplating and researching how foreign residents could settle well in Korea.
Famigo is the brand name created by Owlers to assist foreign residents in Korea. Combining 'Amigo,' which means friend in Spanish, with the first letter of 'family,' it reflects the intention to treat foreigners like family with warmth and affection.
Famigo provides services such as employment, administration/legal assistance, language support, daily life, and communication. Particularly in the employment sector, Famigo offers personalized job opportunities through its self-developed 'JOB FINDER,' ensuring the fastest and most convenient job matching for foreigners.
Additionally, Famigo provides one-on-one support for various documents and matters required for employment and admission, enabling foreigners to grow and succeed.
Famigo's mission is "Help people who is going to settle in Korea to plan, live, dream happily". Famigo members saw there were many foreigners who are having hard time settling in Korea for many reasons such as costs or lack of information. They thought all people around the world should have a chance to live as a human beings should. Due to these 2 thoughts, Famigo came up with a decision to make a service named "Famigo! Amigo!" and help people with reasonable price.
The future of Famigo involves building an 'exclusive data pool for foreigners.'
Based on the data secured through the ongoing foreign resident life support services, Famigo plans to connect disjointed histories through data integration during foreign residents' stay, thus creating a new data credit evaluation model.
Once this credit evaluation model is completed, foreigners will be able to enjoy the same conditions and status as Koreans in both job seeking and financial aspects.
Your inquiries and concerns are valuable assets to Famigo and will ultimately be used to enhance the convenience of life for foreigners like you.
Thank you.
