Until now, there were two major visas available for short-term employment in Korea.
Those are the C-4 and E-8 visas.
The previous rule was to obtain a C-4 visa for less than 90 days of stay and work, and an E-8 visa for more than five months of work.
However, in the future, the C-4 visa will disappear completely and be integrated into the E-8 visa.
As the period of stay on the E-8 visa, a seasonal working visa, has been extended to eight months, you will have to prepare for the spring planting season and fishing season.

1. deletion of C-4 visa
- Existing C-4 visa holders remain eligible until the end of their eligibility
- Suspension of issuance of additional C-4 visas immediately after the revision of the Enforcement Regulations of the Immigration Control Act (suspension of issuance after December 10, 24.)
2. the terms of an E-8 visa
1) E-8-1: Selection by MOU between domestic and foreign local governments (agriculture)
2) E-8-2: An immigrant married to a Korean and issued an F-6 visa recommends a relative within 4 cousins living abroad (agriculture)
3) E-8-3: Selected by MOU between domestic and foreign local governments (fishing)
4) E-8-4: An immigrant married to a Korean and issued an F-6 visa recommends a relative within 4 villages living abroad (fishing)
3. E-8 Visas Required Documents
- Application for visa issuance
- Passport, one photograph for the passport, and one copy of the front of the passport
- Health certificate (issued within 6 months)
- Tuberculosis test result and medical certificate (designated hospital of the embassy of the country of shipment)

3) E-8-3: 국내지자체와 외국지자체간 MOU 방식으로 선정 (어업)
4) E-8-4: 한국인과 결혼하여 F-6비자를 발급받은 이민자가 해외에 거주하는 4촌 이내 친척을 추천 (어업)

- 사증발급신청서
- 여권, 여권용 사진 1매, 여권 앞면 사본 1장
- 건강진단서(6개월 이내 발급본)
- 결핵검사 결과서 및 의사 진단서(송출국 대사관 지정병원)
- 범죄경력 증명서
- 수수료
