I mentioned 'work location visa' and 'digital nomad visa' in the previous post.
First of all, to briefly explain digital nomads, it refers to a lifestyle that travels around the world like a nomad and remotely processes the work of the company it belongs to using ICT technology.
However, in the case of visa-free entry, there is a limit of 90 days no matter how long it is extended, and in the case of short-term tourist visas (ETAs), there is a threat of being placed in a welfare blind spot.
Foreigners in countries where remote work is possible wanted to stay in Korea for a long time while working and vacationing, but the lack of a visa directly corresponding to this was also a big problem.
To this end, the 'Digital Nomad Visa' was introduced.
The Digital Nomad Visa is a one-year, one-time extension visa from the date of entry (up to two years).
Separate domestic employment activities are not possible, and if you succeed in finding a job and move to Korea, you need to change to an E-7 visa.
On the other hand, in the case of B-1, B-2, and C-3 visa holders who are short-term stay visas in Korea, they can change to those visas if they meet the requirements.
The visa can be issued even if it is not necessarily Jeju, so please contact Famigo for more information.

원격근무가 가능한 국가의 외국인 분들은 한국에서 일과 휴가를 병행하며 장기간 체류하고 싶어했으나, 이에 직접적으로 대응되는 비자가 없다는 것도 큰 문제였죠.
이를 위해, ‘디지털 노마드 비자’가 도입된 것입니다.
디지털 노마드 비자는 입국일로부터 1년, 1회 연장 가능한 비자입니다(최장 2년).
별도의 국내 취업 활동은 불가하며, 혹여나 구직에 성공해 국내 이직을 하게 될 경우 E-7 비자로의 변경이 필요한 비자죠.
한편, 국내에 단기 체류 비자인 B-1, B-2, C-3비자 소유자의 경우, 요건 충족시 해당 비자로 변경 가능합니다.
