Hello.

This is Ciel from Famigo who informs you about the law and visa common sense in Korea every day.

When you work in Korea, you have to sign up for the four major insurances. In the case of E-series visas and F-series visas, it is of course correct to sign up, but the story becomes a little complicated if you obtain permission for activities outside of your residence status with a D-series visa.

This is a problem that occurs because your identity is a student.

Today, I would like to tell you if people with D visas should take out the four major insurances and what will be exempt.

1. D-10 visa

- If you work through an internship, you are excluded from employment insurance

- In the case of the National Pension Service, whether or not to join depends on nationality

2. D-2 visa

- If an internship is conducted during vacation through a part-time work permit, only health insurance and industrial accident insurance are subscribed

- Students with part-time work permits are included in the health insurance subscriber list when they work more than 60 hours a month

- In the case of industrial accident insurance, subject to compulsory subscription regardless of time

We will try to make sure that you live a stable life in Korea today as well.
