Hlw ,I am borhan from bangladesh .as a international students in south korea every students need visa extension after 1 year .here some information which i know from my university international office .

Steps for Visa Extension:

  1. Check Eligibility and Timeline:

    • Ensure you are eligible for a visa extension (usually granted if you are continuing your studies).
    • Start the process 2-3 months before your current visa expires.

  2. Contact the University’s International Office:

    • Visit or contact the international office of your university. They often assist students with the visa extension process and provide the necessary documents.

  3. Gather Required Documents:

    • Collect all the required documents (details below).

  4. Submit Application:

    • Submit the visa extension application online via the HiKorea website or visit the local immigration office.
    • If applying online, you may still need to visit the immigration office for an interview or fingerprinting.

  5. Pay the Application Fee:

    • Pay the required fee (around 60,000 KRW as of recent data).

  6. Attend Any Required Appointments:

    • You might be asked to attend an interview or provide additional documents.

  7. Wait for Approval:

    • Processing time can vary but usually takes 2-4 weeks.

  8. Receive Your Extended Visa:

    • If approved, you’ll receive a notification to pick up your ARC (Alien Registration Card) or get it mailed.

Required Documents:

  1. Visa Extension Application Form:
