Today, we will learn about the D-4-1 visa, which is a visa for students visiting Korea for language training.
Please note that 'language study training' is basically a visit to and receive training in a native language to learn about a language used as an official language or main language, so you can refer to the following information.
Target
University students from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, China, and Nepal who are admitted to a general university or junior college
Place of application
An immigration office or online located in the jurisdiction of the admissions college
required documents
An application for visa issuance, a passport, a standard photo, a business registration certificate of an educational institution, and a standard admission certificate of an educational institution (depending on individuals).
range of activities
- In principle, 'permission for activities outside of the status of residence' is not possible
- In addition, it has the same range of activities as D-2 study visa
- However, even a D-4-1 visa holder can engage in income activities within the scope of the relevant permit through the application for "permission for activities outside of the status of residence" six months after entering the country
Upper limit of stay: 2 years once, can be extended

오늘은 한국에 어학연수를 위해 방문하는 학생들을 위한 비자인 D-4-1 비자에 대해 알아보겠습니다.
‘어학연수’라는 것은 기본적으로 공용어 혹은 주 생활 언어로 사용하는 언어에 대해 학습하기 위해 해당 언어를 모국어로 쓰는 국가를 방문, 연수 받는 것이기 때문에 ‘한글’을 공용어로 쓰는 국가들에 한정된다는 점 유의하시면서, 아래 내용을 참고하시면 되겠습니다.
대상
일반대학 혹은 전문대학에 입학하는 몽골, 우즈베키스탄, 베트남, 중국, 네팔의 대학생
신청장소
입학 대학을 관할하는 소재지에 있는 ‘출입국 사무소’ 혹은 온라인
필요 서류
사증발급신청서, 여권, 표준 사진 1매, 교육기관의 사업자등록증, 교육기관의 표준입학허가서 등(개인별 편차 있음).
활동 가능 범위
‘체류자격외 활동허가’는 원칙적으로 불가능
이외 D-2 유학비자와 동등한 활동 가능 범위를 가짐
단, D-4-1 비자 소지자라 하더라도 입국 6개월 이후부터는 ‘체류자격외 활동허가’ 신청을 통한 해당 허가범위 내에서의 소득활동 가능
체류 상한: 1회 2년, 연장 가능
