Hello.

This is Ciel from Famigo who informs you about the law and visa common sense in Korea every day.

Today, we will learn about the D-4-1 visa, which is a visa for students visiting Korea for language training.

Please note that 'language study training' is basically a visit to and receive training in a native language to learn about a language used as an official language or main language, so you can refer to the following information.

Target

University students from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, China, and Nepal who are admitted to a general university or junior college

Place of application

An immigration office or online located in the jurisdiction of the admissions college

required documents

An application for visa issuance, a passport, a standard photo, a business registration certificate of an educational institution, and a standard admission certificate of an educational institution (depending on individuals).

range of activities

- In principle, 'permission for activities outside of the status of residence' is not possible

- In addition, it has the same range of activities as D-2 study visa

- However, even a D-4-1 visa holder can engage in income activities within the scope of the relevant permit through the application for "permission for activities outside of the status of residence" six months after entering the country

Upper limit of stay: 2 years once, can be extended
