Visa is one of the most important thing especially when you are thinking  of living in Korea legally for a long time. However, there are not many specific stories about visa when you search through the internet. Famigo is now here to tell you!

Is your son/daughter or you in Korea studying in a university?

And do your family nee some money? If so, your family can easily get C4 visa or E8 visa!

Started from 26th of February, 2024, parents of D2 visa stdudents can be called from their son/daughters who is in Korea. If they fit certain criteria, parents can come easily.


1. Student's university be not be located in Seoul, Incheon, or Gyeonggi-do.

2. Student should be in Korea with D2 visa more than a year.

3. Student's remaining school period should be 2 semesters or more.

4. Student should not violate any Korean laws.

5. Parents should be 55 years old or below

If those things fit in, parents of D2 students can work in same area as their son or daugthers. 

One can stay 90 days or 5~8 months. If you choose first one, you will get C4 visa, and if you choose second one, you will get E8 visa. 


If you want to apply to this, there are some process.


1. Student apply to this program through the government.

2. Government matchs employers with student's parents.

3. Government applies to the immigration office, and parents say it to embassy. 

4. Parents come to Korea and work.
