The third issuance of E-9 visas has begun.

I always emphasize this when a visa process starts: the E-9 visa is fundamental to all visas, so it can't be overstated.

Today, we'll explore the requirements for foreigners to obtain an E-9 visa.

Eligible Countries for E-9 Visa: Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, China, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Kyrgyzstan, East Timor, Laos, Tajikistan
Requirements for Foreign Workers:
- Passing the EPS-TOPIK National Test with a score over 80
- Holding a labor-related visa, not within six months of leaving the country
- No criminal record or activities that would deny entry into Korea
Employment Process:
- Job search results verified in the EPS system
- Signing a standard labor contract between employer and foreign worker
- Support from the Korea Human Resources Development Service in contract signing and introduction
- Visa issuance certificate acquired by the employer and Ministry of Justice
- Foreign workers obtain E-9 visas at overseas missions and enter Korea after training
- Completion of health check and employment training
- Monitoring and support for adaptation to Korea
Required Documents:
- Application form
- Original passport
- One standard photo
- Copy of Business Registration Certificate
- Copy of employment permit
- Copy of standard labor contract
- Drug test confirmation (sealed, within the last 3 months)
