As it is one of the most difficult visas to obtain, there is an incident that requires re-acquisition after departure if you do not extend it.

1. How and when to extend it
- When can I apply for an extension of E-7: You can apply for an extension 4 months before the expiration of your visa
- Visit the nearest immigration office and apply in person, or apply online through Hi Korea
- Notify the applicant by text of extension permission after an average of one month after application
2. required documents
Application, passport, alien registration card, employment contract, business registration card, place of stay document, employer payment details proof, tax payment certificate, local tax payment certificate, personal income amount proof, identity guarantee
3. Precautions
- Since wage requirements are the most important factor for E-7 visas, it is necessary to check that the amount written on the income source or earned income withholding receipt matches the actual amount received
- In many cases, it is necessary to prove that the job code and the actual work they worked for at the time of applying for an E-7 visa are consistent. If it is necessary to submit example data, it is required in the form of a 'request for supplementation'.
This can be also applied for other work visas such as E-9 or H-2.

- 신청 후 평균 1달 이후 연장 허가 안내 문자를 통해 신청인에게 통지
2. 필요 서류
신청서, 여권, 외국인 등록증, 고용계약서, 사업자등록증, 체류지 입증서류, 고용주 납부내역 증명, 납세증명서, 지방세 납세 증명서, 개인소득 금액 증명원, 신원 보증서
3. 유의사항
- E-7 비자는 임금요건이 가장 중요한 요소이기 때문에, 소득금액 증명원이나 근로소득원천징수영수증에 적힌 금액과 실제 받은 금액이 일치하는지 확인해야함
- E-7 비자 신청 당시 직무코드와 실제로 근무한 업무가 일치하는지에 대한 입증이 필요한 경우가 많음. 예시자료 제출이 필요한 경우 ‘보완 요청’의 형식으로 요구됨.
