Hello.
This is Ciel from Famigo who inform you about visa and common sense in Korea.
Today, I would like to explain the detailed guidelines for KIIP fee, which I informed you about in the last post.
It may be an amount that is not burdensome for those who want an F-5 or F-2 visa, but I think it will be helpful to complete the first stage of training as early as it can be a bit burdensome for those who want an E-7 or E-9 visa in Korea without income.
Now, shall we take a closer look?
1. Purpose
Difficulties in adapting foreigners to Korean life due to the diversification of educational subjects and the deterioration of the actual quality of programs due to budget burden
2. KIIP Paid Effective Date / Subject to Enforcement
25. 1. 1. Cost will be set for all stages except stage 0
3. Payment
- Steps 1 to 4: 1 million won for each stage (100 hours for each stage, 1,000 won per hour)
- Step 5 Basic (comprehensive evaluation for permanent residents): 700,000 won (70 hours, 1,000 won per hour)
- Step 5 Deepening (comprehensive evaluation for naturalization): 300,000 won (30 hours, 1,000 won per hour)
4. subject to exemption from educational expenses
- Independence patriots and their bereaved families or families under Articles 4 and 5 of the Act on Honorable Treatment of Independence patriots
- Persons of distinguished service to the State under Articles 4 and 5 of the Act on Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State, etc., and their bereaved families or families
- Recipients and their families under Article 2 of the National Basic Living Security Act
- Persons with severe disabilities under Article 2 of the Employment Promotion and Vocational Rehabilitation Act for Persons with Disabilities
- In attached Table 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Immigration Control Act, among those who fall under the visiting cohabitation (F-1), middle-income minor children (F-1-52), underage foreign children (F-2-2), and others (G-1), industrial accidents (G-1-1), diseases and accidents (G-1-7), humanitarian stay for pregnancy and childbirth (G-19), long-term treatment (G-1-10), victims of sexual violence (G-11)
5. subject to reduction of educational expenses
- 100% attendance at the relevant level of education
- A sincere participant, such as a person with excellent learning attitude recommended by the instructor, etc
As the last KIIP evaluation of this year is just around the corner, those who have not completed KIIP in Korea should take the course quickly to prevent financial losses.
We will try to make sure that you live a stable life in Korea today as well.
