Today, I will tell you about the D-10-2 visa, which is a start-up preparation visa.
It is a popular visa because there are many benefits to foreigners when starting a domestic technology business and because you can stay in Korea for two years through a start-up preparation visa.
It is also a high-end visa that allows international students with D-2 visas or those with technology or patent-related ideas to seek permanent residency in Korea if they are issued.

1. To be issued
A person who has a bachelor's degree or higher, or a professional bachelor's degree or higher at a domestic junior college, or who intends to prepare for a start-up based on intellectual property rights or similar technical skills.
2. Issue Conditions (Can be issued if at least one of the items below is satisfied)
- A person who holds or is applying for patent rights, utility model rights, and design rights among intellectual property rights
- Allow if you have completed some or all of the courses of the Comprehensive Start-up Immigration Support System (OASIS) implemented by the Global Start-up Immigration Center designated by the Ministry of Justice and the Small and Medium Business Administration, or are participating in the course
- If the above conditions are not met, a technical start-up plan is submitted and the relationship between the major and the start-up job, and the expenses incurred in preparing for the start-up are comprehensively reviewed, and a visa is allowed if it is reasonable.
- If you are a participant in the K-Startup Grand Challenge of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and receive a recommendation letter of permission to change your status of stay from the head of the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency, you can apply for a status of stay while being exempted from all of the above requirements

- a copy of a degree certificate (Apostille) or a letter of recommendation
- Score System Affected Item Proof Documents
- OASIS certificate (if you are taking a course, it can be replaced by computerized verification)

- Business Plan
- Proof of Stay (Korean)
- For participants in the K-Startup Grand Challenge, a certificate of participation, a recommendation for permission to change their status of residence, and a technical start-up plan are submitted

학사 이상의 학위, 혹은 국내 전문 대학에서 전문학사 이상의 학위를 소지, 혹은 소지 예정자로, 지식재산권이나 이에 준하는 기술력을 바탕으로 창업 준비를 하려는 자.
2. 발급 조건(아래 항목 중 1개 이상 만족 시 발급 가능)
- 지식재산권 중 특허권, 실용신안권, 디자인권을 보유, 혹은 출원 중인 사람
- 법무부와 중소기업청이 지정한 ‘글로벌 창업이민센터’에서 시행하는 창업 이민종합지원시스템(OASIS)의 교육과정을 일부 혹은 전부 이수하였거나, 과정에 참여 중인 경우 허용
- 위 조건에 부합하지 않는 경우, 기술창업계획서를 제출받아 전공과 창업직종과의 연관성, 창업 준비에 소요되는 체재경비 등을 종합 심사하여 타당한 경우 사증 발급 허용.
- 중소기업벤처부의 K-Startup 그랜드 챌린지 참여자로, 정보통신산업진흥원장으로부터 체류 자격변경허가추천서를 발급받은 경우 위 요건을 모두 면제받은 상태에서 체류자격 신청 가능
3. 제출 서류

- 표준규격사진1장 Photo Cop
- 오아시스 수료증
- 학위증명서 사본(Apostille) 또는 추천서
- 점수제 해당 항목 입증 서류
- OASIS 수료증(수강 중인 경우, 전산 확인으로 대체 가능)

- 비즈니스 계획
- 체류비 입증서류(Korean)
- K-Startup 그랜드 챌린지 참가자의 경우, 참여 확인서 및 체류자격변경허가 추천서, 기술창업 계획서 제출
