Today, I will introduce D-4-3 visas for parents who want to send their children to school in Korea, or for those who want to receive basic education in Korea first.
1. Target
- Students who wish to study at an educational institution below a high school in Korea
- One parent to be the guardian of the student (selected)
2. School that allows admission
- Elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and foreign schools under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
- Foreign educational institutions specified in the Special Act on the Establishment and Operation of Foreign Educational Institutions in Free Economic Zones and Jeju Free International City
3.Requirements for issuance
- Where a person who has been admitted to a school subject to admission in advance or an international student who is currently enrolled has a guardian designated with the requirements of staying expenses, etc
- a self-funded foreign student who pays for study and stay at his own expense
- In the case of studying abroad at one's own expense, foreign schools, international schools, and private schools are the principles.
4. Guardianship requirements
- Korean nationals staying in Korea
- Long-term domestic visa holders who have registered as foreigners
- Parents' annual income GNI (37.5 million won) or assets of 200 million won or more (both parents' combined) of international students entering the country together
5. Note of caution
- D-4-3 visa cannot be issued if international students fall under F-1, F-3 visas.
- In the case of China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt and Peru, visa issuance is not possible through invitation letter

3. 발급 요건
- 입학 대상 학교에서 사전 입학허가를 받은 자, 혹은 재학중인 유학생으로 체재비 등의 요건을 갖추고 지정된 후견인이 있는 경우
- 자비로 유학비와 체재비를 부담하는 자비부담 외국인 유학생
- 자비로 유학하는 경우, 외국인학교, 국제학교, 사립학교를 원칙으로 함.

- 국내 체류 중인 대한민국 국민
- 외국인 등록을 한 국내 장기체류 비자소지자
- 동반 입국하는 유학생의 부모 연간소득 GNI(3,750만원) 이상 또는 2억 이상의 자산(양 부모측 합산 가능)
5. 주의 사항
- 유학생이 F-1, F-3 비자에 해당하는 경우, D-4-3 비자 발급 불가.
- 중국, 필리핀, 인도네시아, 우크라이나, 베트남, 몽골, 태국, 파키스탄, 스리랑카, 인도, 미얀마, 네팔, 이란, 우즈베키스탄, 카자흐스탄, 키르기즈스탄, 우크라이나, 나이지리아, 가나, 이집트, 페루의 경우 초청장을 통한 사증 발급은 불가능
