The travel agencies use the name of the administrative agency, and they are aiming for your money by saying that they guarantee you free entry and exit to Korea or that they will act on behalf of various visa tasks.
According to the actual results of the survey, 35% of travel agencies in Ansan-dong, Danwon-gu, are illegally handling "administrative affairs," which is the largest number of foreign-resident travel agencies in Korea.

However, if a permanent residency was not issued, the entire down payment would be returned, and this was clearly stated in Chinese on the travel agency's brief receipt. However, rather than being issued a permanent residency, K was ordered by the immigration office to leave the country, and eventually was able to extend the visa period by entrusting the job elsewhere.
In response, Mrs. K asked for a refund of the down payment, but the travel agency said that it was K's responsibility that the permanent residency was not issued, and that he returned only 1 million won of the down payment and later did not answer the phone properly.
Fortunately, in K's case, we were able to resolve the issue by sending a proof of content through the Foreigners Support Center. Even that, instead of getting the full amount back, we only got a partial contract back.
As such, if you entrust permanent residency or other visa-related tasks to a company that is not qualified as a regular administrator, there may be various disadvantages such as withdrawal of money or compulsory departure order.
What should we do to distinguish these illegal/insolvent companies from those that actually operate?
To begin with, it is advisable to avoid having both travel and administrative services. They are often administered by a non-professional or unqualified administrator, so just avoiding them can be safe from the majority of fraudulent activity.
There is also a way to use the administrative agency inquiry system.
Since the "Korea Administrative Society" allows you to inquire administrators by name, you can find various information such as whether the person working as an administrator at the company is qualified as an administrator and whether it is an immigration-related administrator.
