This is because most D-10-affiliated visas are changed from D-2 visas.
Today, we will look into this D-10-1 intern visa.
1. D-10-1 Definition of Visa
- 'General job search' visa
- Visa to conduct job search and internship activities before formal employment
- Visas for employment in professional fields corresponding to E-1 to E-7 visa qualifications
(In simple labor, production, etc., internship is not allowed)
2. Characteristics
- D-10 visa stay period can be extended for 6 months and up to 2 years each session
- Internship for up to 2 years, 1 year only
- Internship is only available within 6 months per company
3. required documents
An application for integration, an internship contract, a copy of the company's business registration card, a list of employees of the company's employment insurance, etc
4. Acquisition of D-10 visa during math of D-2 visa
- In principle, internship is possible only during vacation
- Corresponds to 'activity outside of status of residence' where income is generated → Immigration authorization is required
- Internship is not possible for D-4 (Language Training) visa
5. Precautions
- Visa issuance will be refused if target company fails to meet E-7 requirements
- If you have a history of issuing E-7 visas, you cannot issue D-10-1 visas
- When a full-time job is confirmed while holding a D-10-1 visa, it is necessary to change the status of stay to an E-7 visa immediately

- 한 회사 당 6개월 이내로만 인턴 취업 가능

통합신청서, 인턴 근로계약서, 회사의 사업자등록증 사본, 회사의 고용보험 가입자 명부 등
4. D-2 비자의 수학 중 D-10 비자 취득
- 원칙적으로 방학기간에 한해 인턴 가능
- 소득이 발생하는 ‘체류자격외 활동’에 해당 → 출입국 허가 필요
- D-4(어학연수) 비자의 경우 인턴 근무가 불가능
5. 유의사항
- 대상 기업이 E-7 요건을 충족하지 못할 경우 비자 발급 거부
- 과거 E-7 비자 발급 이력이 있을 경우, D-10-1비자 발급 불가
- D-10-1 비자 소지 중 정규직 취업 확정 시, 그 즉시 E-7 비자로 체류자격에 대한 변경이 필요
