EPIK Fall semester application for 2025 E-2 visa issuance has begun.

1. Applications and Overview
① Visa for issuance at the discretion of the head of the official residence: Where a foreigner who enters into an employment contract with the superintendent of an office of education of the Si/Do and provides English conversation guidance at elementary, middle, and high schools and intends to teach foreign language conversation at a foreign language academy or an educational institution of elementary school or higher in Korea
Single visa for a native English assistant teacher (EPIK) and English volunteer scholarship student (TaLK) for a period of stay of not more than two years
② Period of stay: Contract period within maximum 2 years + 1 month
(However, for Americans, multiple visas valid for the duration of their visa stay)
2. Required documents
① Passport
② Application for visa issuance (person who has been issued a visa issuance certificate) [Download] 1 sheet
③ 1 photo (2"X 2" size taken within the last 6 months)
④ Employment contract concluded with the superintendent of an office of education of the Si/Do
※Since the National Institute of International Education or the superintendent of a Si/Do Office of Education issues a notice of acceptance or an invitation letter after verifying the academic background and criminal history, the notice of acceptance or invitation letter is exempted
⑤ Fees: $45 ※Processing period: 14 days
3. Precautions
① Issuance of visas: Instructors of conversation guidance at foreign language institutes, institutions and organizations, lifelong education facilities, etc. are subject to issuance of visa issuance certificates
② The head of an overseas mission shall receive the application without any restriction on the submission of additional documents, consular interviews, or application jurisdiction, and promptly issue a visa in accordance with the contents of the visa issuance certificate
4. An application by mail
① A stamp is attached along with the application document and received by registered mail, but mail may be lost, so it is required to use mail that can be tracked
② If you send a passport, it will not be returned, so make sure to submit it with a "notarized copy of passport."

1. 신청 대상 및 개요
① 공관장 재량 발급 사증 : 시ㆍ도 교육감과 고용계약을 체결하고 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교에서 영어회화지도를 하는 외국인으로서 한국 내 외국어 전문학원 또는 초등학교이상의 교육기관 등에서 외국어 회화를 지도하고자 할 경우
원어민영어보조교사(EPIK) 및 영어봉사장학생(TaLK)에 대한 체류기간 2년 이하의 단수사증
② 체류기간: 최대 2년 범위 내 계약기간 + 1개월
(단, 미국인에 대해서는 사증상의 체류기간 동안 유효한 복수사증 발급)
2. 구비 서류
① 여권
② 사증발급신청서(사증발급인정서를 발급받은 사람)[다운로드] 1매
③ 사진 1매(2“X 2” 크기로서 최근 6개월이내 촬영된 것)
④ 시·도 교육감과 체결한 고용계약서
※국립국제교육원 또는 시․도교육감이 학력사항 및 범죄경력 등을 검증한 후에 합격통지서 또는 초청장을 발급하기 때문에 합격통지서 또는 초청장은 제출 면제
⑤ 수수료: $45 ※처리 기간: 14일
3. 유의사항
① 사증 발급 : 외국어학원, 기관․단체 부설 연수원, 평생교육시설 등의 회화지도 강사는 사증발급인정서 발급 대상임
② 재외공관장은 별도의 추가서류 제출이나 영사면담, 신청관할 제한을 하지 않고 접수하여 사증발급인정서 내용대로 신속하게 사증 발급
4. 우편 신청
① 신청 서류와 함께 우표를 부착하여 등기우편으로 접수하되, 우편물이 분실되는 경우도 있으므로 반드시 추적이 가능한 우편 이용 요망
② 여권 실물을 보낼 경우, 반송되지 않으므로 반드시 "공증 받은 여권 사본"을 첨부하여 제출
